spray painted outside of container only! |

My backyard looks pretty empty not much going on so I decided to work on planting some flowers and shrubs and gradually have a full blooming back yard oasis! My plan is to add flowers and shrubs that will come back year after year so I can make the most of my dollar. My first plan of attack was working on planting some flowers and decided to paint the flower containers that I already had. Here's what I came up with: Took my son to the dollar store and he picked out some seeds for flowers and we made a stop at Home Depot to get some potting soil. I do have quite a few pots on hand so I decide to color coordinate them. Some of the containers are plastic and some were terracotta I just spray painted them white and lime green let them dry for a day, picked up some outdoor acrylic paint and a stencil from AC Moore Craft store . I used a sponge applicator paint stick and blotted the stencil so the paint didn't smudge . A few times it smudged but, nothing a little touch up paint can't fix. For touch up paint I still used the spray paint and sprayed it into a paper cup and applied with a small paint brush and walaaaaaa .....the containers look nice.
