I wanted to share some good news for Teachers, EMS-Fire, Military or Police personnel that are looking to improve their vision through lasik eye surgery. My eye surgeon Dr. Daniel Goldberg is giving away one corrective eye Lasik surgery. All you have to do is fill out an application and be selected and YOU could be on your way to be free of contact lenses or glasses. The contest ends in December 2012 so if your interested hurry over to fill out your application! Wouldn't it be awesome if one of my readers win!!! Big smiles!!! I think it is wonderful that Dr. Goldberg is recognizing one of the most important group of people in our community. His reputation is stellar and you probably know someone who has been to his office.
I know first hand how important vision is as I have Kerataconus which is a cone shaped cornea. I have had this condition since my teen years and each year it has gotten progressively worse. It had gotten to the point where contact lenses are too difficult wear as my eyes are overly sensitive to sun light when my corneas were constantly getting scratched, then I couldn't wear my contacts for a few days which would effect my daily living. I couldn't see with glasses enough to be able to drive my children around to get to basketball or soccer, or Doctor appointments.
Back in February 2012 I received a special gift for my left eye, a cornea transplant. I am writing this post today, a day after Thanksgiving because I feel so lucky for one--the organ donation program, where through a tragic loss, an unknown donor has given me the gift of renewed vision. And secondly for my insurance company covering my surgery. Last week I had my right eye done so I am sitting here typing with my right eye closed, as my eye is still recovering. Everything has been going so well and I wanted to take some time to count my blessings to receive another donation to have my right eye done. So to all of the families and donors I hope they have some comfort knowing that is a wonderful gift to give a second chance.
So, I wanted to personally recommend Dr. Goldberg for any of your surgical eye care. I wanted to pass on the information to any teacher, police, military, or ems/fire workers if you need Lasik surgery to visit Atlantic Laser Vision Center in Little Silver, NJ (phone# 866-853-3263) here is the link to their web site and application for the give away! http://www.goldberg4lasik.com/20120918-guidelines-free-lasik-fire-military-police-teaching-personnel/
****Note: I have not been compensated in any way for my recommendation. The above is my personal experience with the Dr. Goldberg and his wonderful staff! ****
