What is on your to do list before you go back to school? In New Jersey we don't start school until September. Make sure you make time to visit the Beaches in New Jersey while we had Hurricane Sandy make a stop at many of our ocean towns and the are rebuilding I love the smell of the ocean and fresh lumber! I wanted to share some pictures of Asbury Park, NJ which has some really nice architectural pictures of older buildings and they have great restaurants on the boardwalk and in town! It's a beautiful time with the family or going out with your friends. There is miniature golf and a mini splash water park great for the kids. They have a really cool Hot Sand glass studio where the studio buzzes with activity as instructors dip pipes into molten glass and then demonstrate how to blow the globs into shapes. If you would like to check out some discounts for the area I found on line click here: http://www.groupon.com//raf/UserReferral_rp/121015/10r1act/lk/uu11507656
Afterwards, stop by Confections of a Rockstar they have beautiful cupcakes with a variety of gourmet flavors that taste like a piece of pastry heaven! They are open Wednesday thru Sunday located at 550 Cookman Ave #104
Asbury Park, NJ 07712. After those cupcakes head over to Asbury Park Pedal Boats located on Lake Ave. and Heck Ave. They have some swan pedal boats that are will bring a smile to any ones face.
A few of our favorite restaurants on the boardwalk would be: Langosta Lounge nice to eat outside on the boardwalk under an umbrella, The Wonder Bar has the iconic smiling clown face on the outside painted on the building and they specialize in an outdoor table area with great bands, beer and burgers plus sand and at Yappy Hour you can bring your doggie there and they can mingle with the other dogs, while you have a drink or two.http://thewonderbarasbury.com/?page_id=40 A fun time for all!
