This is one of my favorite times of the year-- The Fall Season In NJ-- It's so beautiful, the weather starts getting cooler and crisper, there is trick or treating and decorating for Halloween, The beautiful color of the fall foliage, Thanksgiving, cozy sweaters and jeans, boots - no more flip flops for a few months - baking pies, pumpkin picking and fires, weather you have a fire pit, bon fires, or fireplace it's all so cozy this time of year. Time to make s'mores and have a nice glass of red wine from one of the area wineries.
I did a little decorating, and stopped by Michael's craft store and Nicole one of the store managers there helped me out and we picked out 6 carved pumpkins and she spray painted them gold and added our house numbers and last name. You can order the carved pumpkins, they take a few days and then you can keep them year after year. She decorated them with a little burlap (my favorite to decorate with) and some flowers and I love how the turned out. I put them in our planters with some mums with one set on each side. They are really pretty when you put a light inside of them. You can have them engraved and write phrases on them like Fall or Happy Thanksgiving. They also put some pretty carved out leaves on the pumpkins. Nicole was so artistic and sketched out what I wanted and then we walked around the store and Nicole helped me pick out the flowers and burlap. The colors were put together perfectly! Thanks again Nicole!
We also decorated with some Martha Stewart Decals for our garage some cob webs and police tape and we are all set.
Let me know how you are decorating your porch or front yard for the fall!
We took a few pictures to share with you walking around the neighborhood.
