Food Should Taste Good Giveaway and Dip Recipes

Yes, I was chipped and happily so! I was gifted a delicious box of Food Should Taste Good Chips and at my son's Birthday party we decided to break open up the box and see what our friends and family thought of The Food Should Taste Good Chips first hand!

Everyone was excited to sample the chips and gather around to sample the flavors we received and the large group teenage boys were ready to devour them in five seconds if I didn't slow them down! These were the scrumptious flavors we tried out:

Cantina All Natural Tortilla /Chips are made with yellow corn and sea salt

Olive tortilla Chips are made with Green, Kalamata, and Nicoise Olives, Garlic and Sea Salt it's a cracker too!

Original Sweet Potato Chips are Kettle Cooked, Seasoned with Sea Salt

Chocolate Tortilla Chips are made with semi-sweet chocolate, Cocoa, Sea Salt and Vanilla it's a dessert too!

All of these chips received rave reviews from our guests, they taste great everyone wanted more, and they were not heavy or greasy like other chips. What I love about Food Should Taste Good Brand is that their product are wholesome snacks you can feel good about giving to your family and friends. All of the chips are TRANS FAT FREE, what does that mean? Trans fats are VERY bad for you and your heart and you should avoid them. Trans fats increases the level of bad cholesterol(LDL in your blood stream), Increased LDL can lead to clogged arteries, and coronary heart disease. and even other diseases such as ALZHEIMERs, diabetes, obesity and liver dysfunction. Trans Fats are put into foods to extend the shelf life of baked goods and products and I am thankful that there are Founders of Companies like Pete Lescoe that want to keep our food as natural and delicious as possible. All of FSTG products are all natural, Certified Gluten free, Certified Kosher, O mg Cholesterol free food, and many are certified Vegan. All of the chips that I had were also NO MSG. The label is very easy to read on the bag in LARGE print with coded signs and explanations underneath like below.

My personal favorite for when I feel like something sweet would be the Chocolate Tortilla chips. We served them with one wheel of Baked Brie, added 1/2 cup of brown sugar, 1/2 cupcraisins red and yellow, and 1/2 chopped walnuts on top and bake on 325 degrees until brown sugar and cheese gets carmelized and melted bubbly on top for about 25 minutes. serve warm and dip the chocolate tortilla chips in the dip and your guests will be asking for this recipe -- I guarantee you will love it!

The Cantina Tortilla Chips would go wonderfully with guacamole and some fresh homemade salsa! (or the spinach artichoke dip shown here!) Adapted from allrecipes.com Ingredients:

6 roma tomatoes, diced

3 fresh jalapeno peppers, seeded and

chopped or according to your level of hotness that you prefer

1/4 red onion, chopped add to pampered chef manual food processor

3 green onions, chopped add to pampered chef manual food processor

2 cloves cloves garlic, crushed

2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro

2 tablespoons fresh lime juice

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin

1 small jicama, peeled and chopped

1 (10 ounce) can diced tomatoes with

green chilies, drained

salt and ground black pepper to taste

Directions:

1. Mix together the tomato, jalapeno pepper, red onion, green onion, garlic, cilantro, lime juice, lemon juice, cumin, jicama, and the diced tomatoes with chilies in the Pampered Chef manual Food Processor the more you press down on the handle the finer the ingredients will get. Season with salt and pepper. Allow to sit at least 1 hour before serving. Enjoy dunking your chips in the salsa and fresh avocado! For Avocado simply peel and mash with a little lime juice to keep avocado from turning brown add a dash of kosher salt and pepper.

My friend made some delicious warm artichoke spinach dip and that dip tasted great with the Cantina tortilla chips and the Olive chips. The chips are serve a dual purpose too the are like a cracker as well so you can get a lot of yummy dip on your cracker chip! Go ahead try it!
