Summer Flowers and Mason Jars

Summertime is my favorite time of year because everything is in bloom. Fresh flowers and garden vegetables are in abundance!

Last night I went a looking, to see what I could put together for a fresh bouquet and here is what I found for some wonderful summer time fragrance in our back yard: Lavender, Hydrangea, Roses, Mini Carnations, and Butterfly Bush. Butterfly bush smells sooo pretty no wonder the butterflies flutter around it. All you have to do is clip your flowers on a slant and then add to a pretty mason jar. I like having the small rose buds with blooms as well, it gives the flower bouquet a nice variety of shape and texture.

My today's home garden find would be this nice bird bath that I put close to the roses and butterfly bushes for the butterflies with a few small rocks in the bottom of the dish with a mineral block. I read that some where the butterflies like to land on the rocks and take a drink. Maybe some birds will stop by.

The Iron Bird Bath is from The Comfort Zone Beach Boutique - 46 Main Avenue, Ocean Grove, NJ. I love it! It adds a the perfect garden touch!
