Everyone should have their valuables locked up in a drawer so they don't have to worry when they leave their dorm/apartment room if a favorite pair of sunglasses might walk away or cash. Sometimes a room gets left unlocked mistakenly or the party ends up in your room and there could be some unfamiliar faces and an item could end up walking out of your college room/apartment so why not have a little extra protection to avoid the temptation.
