Trick Or Treat Halloween Pillowcase Tote with Secret Compartment

Here is the best Halloween Trick or Treat Halloween Pillowcase Tote with a Secret Compartment that is easy to make for your big or little trick or treater! Pick up the following supplies: One Package Pillow Protectors which has the zipper available at Target includes 2 You can pick up the standard size for younger children and the king size pillow protectors for the older kids to carry more candy in, Laundry Rope which is thinner then a regular white rope I found in the dollar store I purchased mine in CVS in the mini hardware section, fabric markers and Halloween decals for children to decorate their pillowcase with found in craft store like Michael's, You will also need a sewing machine to sew border around the top, orange thread for sewing machine.

First Step:

Turn your Pillow case inside out with the zipper inside the pillow case and folded in half. Then you will sew a 1 1/2 inch order all around the pillow case in a zig zag pattern with your orange thread. Looks really festive!

Second: With a scissors, cut a small hole inside the 1 1/2 inch border on one side only to thread the rope through the pillow case to make the handle for the trick or treat bag. Tie a knot and now you have the perfect pillowcase bag to fit candy.

Third: Iron on decals and let kids decorate with the fabric markers. Put a notebook in between the pillowcase so the marker does not bleed through to the other side of the pillow case. The BEST part about this pillowcase tote is that you can store your secret supply of candy in the bottom zipper compartment! Kids love it! Kid tested and approved! You can make these awesome bags for a classroom Halloween project sew the bags ahead of time and let the kids decorate them. Parents love the thoughtfulness that goes into this classroom idea. You won't find this craft anywhere else except for on Bella Home Goods Blog! Thank you to my Bestie Mrs. Ramos for showing me how to make these xxox!
