Tuscan Red Pepper and Chicken Pesto Sandwich

Something about melted gouda cheese and crusty bread puts anyone in a happy mood! Pair with a glass of Pinot Grigio, a light white wine with crisp citrus flavor. Enjoy!


Nature’s Harvest Roasted Red
Peppers, Chicken, Gouda, &
Tuscan Pepper Pesto Sandwich

Ingredients
• 2 Slices of Nature’s Harvest 100% Stone Ground Wheat Bread
• 1 Leonessa Organic Roasted Red Pepper
• ½ Chicken Breast (cooked and sliced)
• 1 Slice Smoked Gouda Cheese
• 1 Tbsp. Sweet & Spicy Tuscan Pepper Pesto
• 1 Tbsp. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Instructions
1. Heat stovetop skillet on low.
2. Slice roasted red pepper into long, thin strips.
3. Add olive oil to skillet.
4. Place both pieces of bread on skillet. Add Tuscan pepper pesto, chicken, and
roasted red peppers to bottom slice. Add Gouda cheese to
top slice.
Sandwich together.
5. Cook approximately 5 minutes on each side, or until
bread is crisp.
6. Remove from heat.
7. Serve immediately.

  1. I never think of making a warm sandwich at home. This one sounds enticing.
