After I choose a mini canoli like a blast off in a rocket I'll take a tour around town and walk off the calories. It is so much fun watching the bakers create the cakes adding whip cream upon whip cream and fresh strawberries to the giant sheet cakes. Any cake you would like to design Carlo's bakery can create it for you with their fondant that tastes good and the inside is exceptional, you create your cake. Frozen cakes, Whipped cream, buttercream any filling the possibilities are endless! Have you watched the TLC's Cake Boss? This week I am so happy to have found this class through GROUPON. I wanted to have a nice day out with my Mom while she was visiting from Florida and we had so much fun. Mom was really good at laying the fondant on top of her cake and gently pressing the folds out while placing the pink fondant over her cake. It was quite difficult and we had quite a few laughs. The class instructor was very helpful and fun and we had a full class. This would be a great family get tether for all Moms and daughters and cousins to do this together. Normally the class is $125.00 in the Red Bank, Jersey City, Ridegewood, or Morristown, NJ locations and with the Groupon you can get this for $70 for one or $135 for two. EACH PERSON GETS A REALLY NICE QUALITY Carlo's bakery apron and you get a cake to decorate and take home. Really special. We both said we have never made something so beautiful and my boys couldn't believe we made the cakes ourselves. They thought we purchased the cakes. With your new cake skills you can even purchase fondant from Carlo's bakery and make your own cakes. The ingredients are exceptional here and everything in this bakery tastes great. You can see the family makes each recipe fresh and with quality ingredients, the buttercream tastes like whip cream it is so good.
